Reed Set for a Strong Run at Richmond
Reed has competed at Richmond International Raceway (RIR) seven times in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS). He made his first career NXS start at the track in 2013, earning a 16th-place finish. His best career finish at the track came in September 2013 when he finished ninth. In his last appearance at the track in April of this year, Reed finished 11th after starting 18th.

Reed at Richmond

On the Car
The No. 16 team will run a special paint scheme this weekend, recognizing veterans who have served and bringing awareness to the one in four who live with diabetes. The car will feature a series of red, white and blue stars and stripes, with one out of four stars filled in blue to recognize the 25 percent of our service members who live with the disease. Furthermore, Reed will meet with veterans living with diabetes at Richmond’s Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Administration Medical Center on Thursday, September 8th. The following day, RIR and Roush Fenway Racing will host the group for a meet & greet with Reed at-track and a tour of the NXS garage and No. 16 hauler.
Darlington Recap
Reed finished 13th at Darlington Raceway on Saturday after starting 15th and getting caught a lap down after pitting when the caution flag was displayed.
2016 Season
Reed is scored 10th in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Championship standings after 24 races. He has recorded one top-five and four top-10 finishes, led eight laps for the season and has recorded an average finish of 16.2.
Reed on Richmond
“I say this every time but Richmond is one of my favorite tracks on the circuit. Between the memories of my first NXS start with RFR there and the similarities between Richmond and the short tracks back home, it’s just really a special place. I’m also really excited to hang out with some of our country’s veterans and honor them with our paint scheme and some special at-track tours. I hope to make them proud.”

Reed and teammate Bubba Wallace will chat with fans at the Ford Display in the RIR Fan Midway on Friday, September 9th at 1:45 p.m. ET.
They will both sign autographs at the NXS autograph session located in the RIR Amphitheater on Friday, September 9th from 2 – 2:45 p.m. ET. Wristbands will be distributed at the Virginia529 display in the midway beginning at 10:00 AM Friday.
