All-Star Victories
Roush Fenway has earned four victories in NASCAR’s All-Star night with former drivers Mark Martin, Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards. Martin, who is a two-time All-Star race winner, first went to Victory Lane in 1998 for Roush Fenway before taking the checkered flag again for the organization in 2005. Kenseth earned the victory in the 2004 running of the event and Edwards visited the winner’s circle in 2011.
Racing in to the Show
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. raced his way into the Sprint All-Star race in 2013 after starting from the fourth position and finishing the 40-lap race in the second position. Prior to Stenhouse, former Roush Fenway driver Jeff Burton earned the victory in the 2003 running of the Sprint Showdon to race his way into the Sprint All-Star race. Burton began the event from the 18th position and led 10 laps en route to the victory.
Friday Night Showdown
On Friday evening, Roush Fenway drivers Trevor Bayne, Greg Biffle and Stenhouse will race in two 20-lap segments in the hopes of racing their way into Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star race. The winner of each of the two segments earn their way into the main event on Saturday as well as the driver who receives the most votes from the race fans.
