Sadler at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Elliott Sadler makes his 17th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) this weekend in Concord, NC. In Sadler’s previous 16 starts, he has one pole award, four top-five and six top-10 finishes at CMS.

The veteran driver from Emporia, VA also has 25 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at CMS with one pole award, one top-five and three top-10 finishes. Sadler has also led 194 laps at CMS in the NSCS.

Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race

Sadler finished in ninth-place during Sunday’s NXS race at Iowa Speedway. Sadler qualified for the 250-lap event on Saturday evening and started the NXS race from the 10th position. As a defending pole award and race winner at Iowa, Sadler used his race experience to make key mid-race adjustments to the car. During the second half of the race, Sadler’s car was running well and Sadler worked his way up to third. After a long caution, Sadler’s tires cooled down and on the following restart, Sadler drifted back to the 14th position. In the final laps, Sadler battled his way through traffic and crossed the finish line in the ninth position.

2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings

Following Iowa, Sadler still holds his seventh place position in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 10 races, Sadler is 51 points behind the leader.
