Stenhouse Eyes Sprint Cup Win No. 1 in Michigan
Stenhouse Jr. has six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at Michigan International Speedway with an average starting position of 22.8 and average finishing position of 21.3. The 2013 NSCS Rookie of the Year also has three XFINITY starts earning one top-five and one top-10 finish.

In the backyard of Ford Motor Company and Roush Industries, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. drove his Ford to a 25th-place finish in a rain shortened NSCS race at Michigan International Speedway.

Stenhouse Jr. currently sits 19th in the NSCS point standings just 13 points out of 16th place with 12 races remaining until the Chase.

“Michigan is a track that Roush Fenway, Ford, and Jack (Roush) have had a lot of success. We always want to have a strong showing at Michigan since it is in the backyard of Ford and Roush Industries. I’m really looking forward to racing the new aero package. I think it will create closer racing which will make it exciting for the fans. I think our No. 17 Fifth Third Ford will have another solid performance this weekend.”
Sandler on racing at Michigan:
“We are looking forward to Michigan this weekend since it is home track for Jack and Ford. We are excited about the new aero package that NASCAR is bringing this weekend. The low downforce should allow the cars to race closer together which should make the racing better at Michigan, a track that is usually really fast.”
