Roush Fenway Racing breaks out a throwback TV ode for Atlanta
Roush Fenway Racing wants to test your TV knowledge with their latest video on social media.
This one goes back quite a few years. First off, remember “B.J. and the Bear”?
Yeah, the 1979 sitcom featuring Greg Evigan as freelance truck driver B.J. McKay, who traveled the country in his red and white semi with his pet chimpanzee Bear.
How about the spin-off they did with Claude Akins who played Sheriff Elroy Lobo in “The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo” or more commonly referred to as “Lobo”?
It was ranked the 36th worst show of all-time by TV Guide in 2002, if that helps.
Well, whether you remember it or not, Roush Fenway Racing decided to put together a spoof based on the intro with some highlights from the team’s history at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
They also drop in the soothing tones of Ray Charles singing Georgia on My Mind.
