The 2016 Spring Race at Phoenix
Right-front tire wear was an issue across the board Sunday afternoon at Phoenix International Raceway. Biffle had his hands full with the handling on his No. 16 Ford, but was able to keep the right-front in one piece to cross the finish line 21st.
Last Fall at Phoenix
Rain drenched Sunday afternoon at Phoenix International Raceway, turning an afternoon race into a rain shortened night race. Biffle started 20th with a Ford that was setup for a day race and turned out to be plowing tight under the lights at night. The final caution came out just after Biffle had completed a green flag pit stop. The team attempted to take the “wave around” but the race never resumed due to rain and Biffle was left with a 25th-place finish.

Biffle on Phoenix:
“I love being out west and Phoenix is a fun and challenging place to race and a great place to make my 500th consecutive start. It’s hard to find a balance between the two ends because the corners are so different. Turn one is really like a tight short track, where turns three and four are almost like a 1.5-mile track. The radius of the corner tightens up on exit. We aren’t where I’d hoped we’d be at this point in the season, but hopefully we can finish up the season on a high note with a good run this weekend and next.”
