Buescher On A Roll – Takes Points Lead To Vegas
ADVANCE NOTES
Buescher at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Chris Buescher makes his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday. In his first start last season, Buescher started 12th and finished ninth. In the first two races this season, Buescher averages the highest running position at fifth. The sophomore driver has run all but one lap inside the top-15 so far this season.
This is the same chassis that the No. 60 team raced in the second half of the 2014 season at Kentucky Speedway (seventh), Charlotte Motor Speedway (sixth) and Homestead-Miami Speedway (fifth).
Speedway Racing
In 25 starts at intermediate tracks in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, Buescher has earned four top-five and nine top-10 finishes, while leading 31 laps.
On the Car
The No. 60 Ford Mustang carries the Roush Performance colors this weekend in Las Vegas.
Roush Performance Parts is a premier supplier and engineering services provider, most known for its line of high performance Mustang powertrain parts, including superchargers, cold air intakes and exhaust kits. The list goes on to include a full line of wheels, tires, interior, grilles, graphics, service parts, accessories, drivetrain, cooling upgrades and more. In addition to Mustang, Roush Performance Parts also offers performance upgrade packages for Ford F-150, Superduty and Focus.
Recapping Atlanta
Buescher spent the majority of Saturday afternoon’s 163-Lap NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway battling inside the top-five. When the checkered flag flew, Buescher crossed the line in fourth, taking over the top spot in the series point standings.
QUOTE WORTHY
Chris Buescher on racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
“We are off to a good start this year and expect to be able to follow that up in Las Vegas. We had a top-10 there last year and going back to the track for the second time should help us improve. It is a track with a lot of bumps and character, making it one of the cooler 1.50-mile tracks we go to.”
