Kenseth talks Performance Plus and Kentucky on ‘Jack’s Garage’
Concord, N.C. (July 12, 2018) – Matt Kenseth is back behind the wheel of the No. 6 Ford this weekend where Performance Plus will debut as his primary sponsor. Kenseth shared his thoughts on his return at Kentucky with Claire B. Lang on ‘Jack’s Garage’ Wednesday.
“The biggest thing, I think, with Kentucky is the ends of the race track are a lot different,” Kenseth said. “Turn three is really flat and there’s a really tight radius. That’s a very difficult corner. I think if you can get the first half of turns three and four right, typically you’ll be decent in the rest of the track.”
This will be Kenseth’s eighth start at Kentucky in the Cup Series and his fifth start of the season. He has had quite the track record at Kentucky, ending majority of the races with top contentions and even scoring a trip to Victory Lane in 2013.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in the car and seeing what kind of gains we’ve made,” Kenseth said. “We’ll try to keep moving forward and try to keep getting better.”
Kenseth returns to the track at Kentucky Speedway on Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports. To stay up to date with all things Roush Fenway Racing, be sure to tune into ‘Jack’s Garage’ on ‘Dialed In’ every Wednesday on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 7:30 p.m. ET.
