RFK Wraps Up 2024 On High Note in Phoenix

AVONDALE, Ariz. (Nov. 10, 2024) — RFK Racing ended the 2024 campaign on a high note Sunday at Phoenix Raceway as Chris Buescher powered the Fastenal Ford to a 9th-place finish, while Brad Keselowski finished 15th in the BuildSubmarines.com Ford.

Both Ford Mustangs improved significantly on their starting efforts as Buescher — who had two-straight Phoenix top fives entering the weekend — drove his way into the top five midway through the afternoon.

Keselowski, who rolled off 24th on the grid, was methodical throughout his 312-lap afternoon. He drove to a 23rd-place finish in a rather uneventful opening stage of 60 laps.

He began the second stage 22nd, but after a round of green-flag pit stops, finished 15th at the end of the second segment.

He rolled 16th for stage three, then took what was his final pit stop at lap 230 under green. The final caution flew at lap 250, but the No. 6 remained on track to restart 13th, before going on to earn the top-15 finish.

Buescher began his day from the 24th spot, but advanced 10 positions in just the opening span of 60 laps to conclude stage one.

A solid effort on pit road in the stage break gave Buescher top-10 track position on the ensuing restart as he fired off ninth for stage two. He pitted from 11th at lap 117 as the second stage was split by a green flag cycle, before he drove to sixth to end the segment.

Another strong pit stop put the No. 17 P5 on the start for stage three, and his final stop would come at lap 237. He, too, stayed out in the final caution at lap 250, and held strong for the P9 result.
