Roush Fenway Racing To Host Annual Spring Fan Day On May 21
CONCORD, N.C. (April 24, 2015) – Roush Fenway Racing will host its annual spring fan day at its world headquarters in Concord, N.C. on Thursday, May 21. The event is open to the public and will feature autograph sessions with each of Roush Fenway’s seven NASCAR drivers.
“We say it each year, but this event is really the perfect opportunity to show our fans how much we appreciate them,” said Roush Fenway President Steve Newmark. “We see these fans cheering on our drivers at race tracks across the country, and this is our opportunity to welcome them to our home, show them around and give them the opportunity to meet our drivers and the partners who play such a vital role in what we do each weekend at the track.”
In addition to the Roush Fenway show cars on site, more than a dozen partner displays will be on hand, with partners handing out samples, setting up simulation pods and tire-changing units, as well as interacting with the fans that support Roush Fenway and the sport of NASCAR.
SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will again broadcast its famed Mid-Day Drive show live from the event with popular host Jim Noble and Chocolate Myers, featuring visits with the Roush Fenway drivers.
Former Miss Sprint Cup Monica Palumbo will be the official emcee for the day’s events and Roush Fenway No. 16 XFINITY Series hauler driver Jay Maybry and his band JBird and the Congregation will perform live music throughout the day.
Roush Fenway fans are also encouraged to take part in the event through social media using the hashtag #RFRFanDay, and the team will give fans a behind the scenes look at the event throughout the day via Periscope and Twitter.
Autograph sessions will kick off at 10 a.m. with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Trevor Bayne, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Greg Biffle. Roush Fenway’s NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers Bubba Wallace, Ryan Reed, Chris Buescher and Elliott Sadler will sign autographs at 11:00 a.m.
Autograph session tickets will be on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 8 a.m.
