Sadler at Watkins Glen International
Elliott Sadler will make his seventh NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Watkins Glen International this Saturday afternoon in Watkins Glen, NY. In Sadler’s previous six starts, he’s recorded one top-five and three top-10 finishes at the Glen.
The veteran driver from Emporia, Va. also has 12 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at the Glen with one top-five finish.
Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race
Sadler finished eighth this past Saturday during the NXS race at Iowa Speedway. Sadler qualified 15th on Saturday afternoon and took the green flag at 8:00pm ET. Sadler started out with an extremely tight race car, which then changed to an extremely loose handling car after the first pit stop. Besides the handling issues, Sadler also experienced a speeding penalty on pit road during his first pit stop. Sadler and his crew were able to make the needed adjustments in the second half of the race and Sadler battled his way through the field for another top-10 finish.
2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings
Following the NXS race at Iowa Speedway, Sadler remains in fifth-place, in the NXS Driver Point Standings. After 19 races, Sadler is now 52 points behind the leader.
Dash 4 Cash Eligible
With Sadler’s fifth-place finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, he is now eligible for the third round of the Dash 4 Cash program. If Sadler beats, Regan Smith, Ryan Blaney and Daniel Suarez at Bristol Motor Speedway on Aug 21st, Sadler will win $100,000.
