ADVANCE NOTES
Sadler at Kentucky Speedway
Elliott Sadler makes his eighth NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Kentucky Speedway this Friday night in Sparta, KY. In Sadler’s previous seven starts at Kentucky, he has three top-five and five top-10 finishes.
Previous NASCAR XFINITY Series Race
Sadler finished in second-place during last Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Daytona International Speedway. Sadler qualified in the 10th-position for the 100 lap event on Saturday afternoon. At the drop of the green flag, Sadler quickly moved forward and ran the majority of the race in the top-five. With four laps remaining in the race, Sadler was in the outside lane when the lead car moved up and pinched Sadler against the wall. This collision created a large multicar pileup, taking out multiple front running race cars. Sadler suffered damage to the front of the car and came down pit road for temporary repairs. Under the clock, Sadler’s crew changed all four tires and pulled back all the damaged fenders. The crew fixed Sadler’s No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang without losing a lap and Sadler restarted in seventh-position. In the final two laps, Sadler worked his way forward and crossed the finish line in the second position.
2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series Driver Point Standings
Following the NXS race at Daytona, Sadler moved forward one position in the NXS Driver Point Standings and is now fifth in points. After 15 races, Sadler is 71 points behind the leader, but only four points behind fourth-place.

TV coverage for Friday’s NXS race will be on NBCSN at 7:30PM ET.

QUOTE WORTHY
“Last week’s race at Daytona International Speedway was a great points day for the No. 1 OneMain Financial team. We would have loved to get the win on Saturday night, but we can’t argue with a second place finish. The strong finish also helped us move up one spot to fifth in the drivers point standings. This week we race at Kentucky Speedway which is a very bumpy race track. This will be the first time we’ve raced at Kentucky this season and it’s imperative we find the best race trim to match the bumps in practice. Only four points separate us from fourth-place. We’d love to have another positive finish and continue to ride this momentum from Daytona.”
